To commemorate my favorite month (October) and my favorite
holiday (Halloween), I'm doing a monster sketch per day.
I wanted to draw a goblin for today's monster sketch. It's a
very general type monster, with no signature look, allowing me to go in any
direction I wanted. So many artists I've admired have done terrific goblin
designs, so the challenge was to avoid what came before as best I could. My
favorite design elements here are the peg leg and tusks. And I felt that I had
to have the goblin doing something, so I gave him a baby to steal. They're
quite fond of doing that, after all.
